Following both the interest and the skill level of each child, the Preschool room introduces a variety of materials and activities that are designed to aid in the unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child.
Through careful observation of the children’s interests and abilities, our staff of Registered Early Childhood Educators, plans lessons and activities designed to develop or refine new and emerging skills. Many lessons are done on an individual basis, providing opportunities for one-on-one interaction between staff and child.
Bailey’s Children Centre recognizes that literacy and numeracy skills are fundamental building blocks for success in school and in life. They are priorities throughout a child’s education, involving every teacher, every parent and every student, beginning before he or she enters school. Therefore, we have designed the Preschool Program to introduce these concepts to your developing preschooler.
Our Preschool program is designed not only to help prepare your child for entry into Grade 1, but also provides a foundation for later success. The purpose of Bailey’s Preschool Program is to provide fun learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate in order to meet the diverse needs of children and promote a positive attitude toward lifelong learning. We recognize that a child whose developmental needs have been met is more likely to grow into a self-reliant, responsible, caring and contributing member of society.
